Car Rental Loss and Damage Insurance
Secondary coverage for damage to or theft of a rental vehicle when the full rental cost is charged to the card and the rental company's damage waiver is declined. Not available in Australia, Italy, or New Zealand.
Purchase Protection
Covers eligible purchases against accidental damage or theft for up to 90 days from purchase date. Up to $1,000 per occurrence and $50,000 per calendar year.
Extended Warranty Protection
Extends the original manufacturer's warranty by up to 1 additional year on eligible purchases with warranties of 5 years or less.
Return Protection
If the merchant won't accept a return within 90 days of purchase, Amex may refund the full purchase price (excluding shipping). Up to $300 per item and $1,000 per calendar year.
